Illusions

I was reading something on the web yesterday, and came across this little video (I think I got it through a digg link). Anyway, thought it was neat:

If the ball were anything but transparent, the effect wouldn’t quite be the same.

The longest line – Krispy Kreme Japan

I haven’t been to Shinjuku in a while. Today, I met up with a good friend of mine for some shabu shabu. Afterwards, we walked around a bit to check out how much the station has changed (a lot over the last year – I was there last August). Anyway, one of the “new attractions,” is the Krispy Kreme, located right under the Microsoft building. I don’t particularly like doughnuts so my interest in going to check it out was for another reason.

It’s longer than any Disneland ride I’ve had to wait for… Trends like this are extremely fickle in Japan. There’s still a wait of about 45 minutes for Cold Stone, which is pretty interesting considering it’s been in Japan well over a year (by far the longest lasting food trend to date). I guess only time will tell, but I don’t think it’s going to last too much longer. Fun to see none-the-less.
